Knott's Berry Farm Ghost Town Alive!

Ghost Town Alive! is back at Knott's Berry Farm and last week, we got to experience the action-packed Western adventure for ourselves. We had us a mighty fun time because the town of Calico is filled with bandits, cowboys, robberies, judges, a good ol' Western hoedown, and much more. It's the first interactive theme park experience of its kind and a MUST-DO for kids of all ages!

This summer, the story continues a year after the notorious Mayfield Gang escaped the custody of Sheriff Wheeler. Word around town is the Mayfield’ s have been spotted back in Calico and the townsfolk are in need of some help in capturing the bandits and keeping the town safe. Ghost Town Alive! will offer guests a firsthand experience to play an important part in this unfolding story of the wild west, with specific tasks and activities and an essential role as an honorary citizen of Calico.

We chose to be part of the Mayfield Gang because sometimes its more fun to be bad...right? My boys loved getting into character and my bandits even went jail! There's so many great photo opps throughout the town, so make sure you're camera ready. :)

When we needed a break (from all the walking), there was plenty of shows to watch throughout the beloved town of Calico. Make sure to grab a schedule (at the front entrance) and plan accordingly so you don't miss out on all the entertainment! Our favorite show was the new Snoopy’s Magnificent Magical Revue, a family friendly magic show starring the World’s Most Famous Beagle, Snoopy and Magician Extraordinaire Greg Wilson! It's a fun show that kept my kids on the edge of their seats in AWE and its running now through August 20 in the Charles M. Schulz Theatre.

Another favorite stop was the Calico Saloon. Why? Because we got to pull-up a chair and enjoy Boysenberry Beer, sarsaparilla, popcorn, and a saloon show!

Knott's Berry Farm #GhostTownAlive is happening now through September 4th! For more information visit: AND to watch a snippet of our fun-filled day, check out our YouTube video...
